Odometer Gear - Plan B

Odometer Gear - Plan B
Well I got the pod apart and the odometer guts exposed to replace the gear that always is the weak link and wouldn't you know it that gear if fine and a different gear is stripped.
The gear I has is suppose to be improved material so I will still put it in, once I locate a replacement for the gear that is stripped.
Sorry no pictures, but the gear that is stripped is one of the two that nest together and rotate on the metal pin you can slide out to begin the gear train disassembly process.
Anyone have a source for the other odometer gears?

Sorry I should have thought about that before I left town, I have a great mental picture but that doesn't do much good.
In the odometer gear train there are two gears that interlock at their hubs (gear center) and nest into the housing between two ears supported by a single steel pin that slides out to allow the gears to be removed. The next gear in rst of the gears are retained with retaining rings on the end of their respective shafts.
If you have the gear(s) in question that would be great.
I should have mentioned that this is an '85 auto.

I have the old speedo out of my '85 and it's all in pieces, that's why I need a pic to make sure I have the correct gear (I probably do but have to check). I broke the needly shaft and it was cheper to replace the entire speedo with another used unit, then to try to repair it. Have all the parts in a plastic jar and unless someone can post a pic of the gears, I might have to lay them all out and take a pic, then you can tell me if I have the gear you need.

I understand the dilema, perhaps we can cut out the decision process. Send me a PM with what you want for all of the odometer gears in your plastic jar and maybe I can be the proud owner of some extra gears for the next guy that fails one of the non-typical gears.

OK, give me a day or so.

I know it is not the left gear, the gear in question has a tooth count more like the middle one - but mine was white and I do not recall is having a concentric gear inside. In my case the gear in question has connects to a gear adjacent to it at the hub with a interlocking jaw arrangement. It may be the picture but the gear on the right appears to have a bevel (angle) on the teeth and I know mine is straight. I also do not recognize the metal piece behind the gear on the right.

I only have the two other gears left from the gage.
If someone can post a pic from the parts manual, perhaps we can figure out what you are after.
