Well members i got the 1990 shark back from northern cal dealer,the work was not performed on the car and they refunded some money back.The car runs worst than before,under hard driving when comes to a sudden stop such as a traffic light the car goes to a limp mode.If i turned the ignition off and on again its starts fine and drives fine,after i received the car back several weeks ago the idling is high around 800 to 1,000?until shift to gear its around 750.The last few weeks i have replaced all vacuum lines,except the one under the manifold,all elbow joints-new spark plugs,caps,rotors,wires,both coils,sprayed the maf sensor with cleaner,new fuel pump and fuel filter-i have read most of the forum and cannot figured it out.PLEASE HELP-i asked TOM at 928intl and he said it could be water temp sensor and manifold thermostat is this sounded right?i need this car to run right again after PORSCHE tech,he said screwed it up.

Cut and run, man, lick your wounds, and then do some homework before you jump in next time. It's obvious that you need a more enjoyable, more trouble free 928.

Follow Tom's advice as those are cheap and easy fixes. A smoker is the best diagnosis for vacuum, but you have to be able to see the connections. Only other suggestion I have is to swap a good computer in, if no one with a '90 is near, Rich928 here can diagnos your computer, I think. They do die .

 

Any way members i have too much money into the damn thing,still wait for the title as of now.I need to get this thing to drive correctly ,and how much is a refurbished LH unit ?I thought 1990 would not have this symtom,but maybe i am wrong after all.I have the autothority chip set in the car and i hope this does not make the car screwy.It ran fine before i delivered to that place in BENICIA,and when it came back ithe car idles erratic and not as smooth as before.What a waste of time -3months and the car is not the same.
