LPG powered 928?!?!
I was having a bit of fun a couple of months back while I was out driving my 928, with another 928. I tapped in the licence plate number into a lookup system on our equivilent of the DMV website to see what model it was, but I entered it wrongly to start up with... and look what came up.
It says its fuel type is liquid gas, which is referring to LPG.
Who in their right mind would convert their late model 928 GTS to run on LPG??
I have my 500 Benz converted to run on LPG, because its my beater and LPG is half the cost of petrol over here. But then again, my Mercedes is no supercar. I cant believe someone would do that to a 928.
If your wondering about the date of manufacture, that simply means that the car was first registered at some point in 1996.

On a car like the 928, extra fuel injectors need to be installed into the intake, along with additional wiring, ECU, Vapouriser, Tank, tank filler, Pipework from the tank to the engine bay.
Where would the tank even be installed? He must have a rear seat delete, and have it there!

As a South African, I know LPG. But liquid gas as stated in that listing may be petrol. Actually I don't consider American English to be so bad, it's just a dialect of English as spoken by the English. I find it comical that no-one calls them "The English" anymore, because we tend to want to universalise English. But in fact, English is really very English. As is England. British is the term most like to use ... it deflavours the whole thing. As long as we can call the English, Brits, we can say we own English as a language eh
