How do you compress spring in euro mirror?

Take a 3/8" 6" long extension and put it in a vise, big side down. Assemble the parts in order and set on top of the extension. You will probably need someone to add some downward pressure, it's possible with one person but much more controllable with two. Press the bottom through the bracket and rotate. It gets much easier the 15 or 20th time.

These mirrors do try your patience...
This mini compressor is the key. Be sure to place an easily id'd mark on the mirror bolt to reference when turning, it takes alot of the guess work out of it.
