Installed Kickedown Swith & Tightened Bowden Cable - Now What?
Transmission still shifts early - it works ok if I row it manually.
I haven't inspected the trans fluid yet - I've only driven the car about 150 miles since I got it, and less than 50 with the supercharger on it.
I'll order a trans filter kit and inspect/change the oil this week and see if that makes a difference.
Any oil preferences and any other suggestions as to why it won't hold from shifting with those mods done.
Thanks

Can you describe what you mean by shifting early? Have you checked your vacuum in your 5 way splitter? There is also a modulator on the tranny itself that can be manually adjusted from under the car that affects how long the tranny holds the gear. Describing the behavior will help point you in the right direction.

if after checking all other things mentioned i would go back and try loosening the bowden cable half a turn and testing the trans shift points if it shifts sooner then try adding half a turn at a time the cable is very critical when it is in the just tight range and will change the shift points with not much of a change in the cable tightness, also check that your getting vacuum to the modulator sometimes the vacuum hose will come apart over the rear area as it crosses the trans or just behind the engine where is connects to the metal hose that runs down the torque tube
