Default DFW tech session this Saturday 2/24

Oooooh, how blasphemous!!!! I have this posted in the 911 section, but just wanted to let my 928 buddies know that I'll be spending some quality time with my other car this Saturday, and probably Sunday....and any of you are welcome to swing by if you're bored and need a place to hang out. If you've not been over, PM me for directions. If nothing else, Saturday afternoon should be some sweet weather to sit around and shoot the breeze while consuming cold amber liquids.

Here's the text from the 911 board post:

I'm going to put my 911 up on the lift this weekend for her every other year list of projects. The first on the list is a valve adjust, but I'll also be adjusting the clutch, service air filter, inspect pads/flush brake fluid, and last-but not least: new Torsion Bars.

I don't intend to get this all done in one day, but I am focusing on the stuff other than the t-bar upgrade. So if anyone is bored and wants to come by, feel free to PM me for directions. Probably starting between 9 and 10. May rain in the morning, but Saturday afternoon should be great.

If nothing else, a good opportunity to BS and perhaps partake in a couple of cold beverages.

I should be working on her Sunday too.

I will be over Saturday afternoon. Do not start the BS without me.

Naw, this is my first absence in quite a while. I've got some family in town, and I've got to get these projects done on the 911 prior to the next DE.

I'm out, sorry. Gotta work on the Lambo and got a gym meet Sat afternoon. I assume your doing an engine location swap on that car? From the back to the front where it belongs?

Naw, on the 911, it would make it 60/40 with the bias to the front...not good.

Ed,

I think I can swing by for some socialization but it will all depend on what the woman has planned. Besides, what can I do on a 9-1-1 besides hold your beer for you?

I'll give you a ring before I head that way.

I should have called you tonight. Got the mounting hardware for the front spoiler from Rog today. (he also fixed my 1/2 down passenger window) and could have used an extra set of hands mounting that thing up. The 10 year old came to me with a couple of paint cans and stuffed them where I needed the "hands" and she giggled. Was a good time.

I now have a front air dam on my car.

Glad to hear your car is whole. No problem on coming by for socialization. I'm gonna do the valves in the am, so I'll be ready for socialization after they're done. It's really a one person job with the feeler gauge.
