For the mileage involved and the color of the interior it has obviously been dyed and carpet replaced. The front seats are standard leather not draped. Draped is much different without perforations as stated. Although sport seats are nice the 928 does not need them as much as a 911 and IMO detract from the comfort of the GTS. The stock seats do a better job of holding you than standard 911 seats and I would prefer the draped leather to standard.

A lot of ??'s with this one.

Or car-jacked...

Owner stated on the eBay page that the car was never damaged, my info must be incorrect! I'm still wondering why the airbag cover appears to have been changed at some point, but that's up to the buyer to check it out.

Regards,
Chris

So, did anyone look at this in person yet? It's a bit of a drive for me from the Wet Coast of BC, but I am interested!!

Which cover are you referring to, and what makes you think it has been replaced?

I must be missing something...

I think he means in one of the photos the air bag cover on the steering wheel looks lighter in color (newer). The leather rim of the wheel is darker, but it is leather an therefore would stain, and the cover will be plastic I assume.

Correct, Porsche steering wheels are fairly similar across the range and while natural wear may cause the change in color, it often indicates that the airbag cover was replaced. By no means a certainty, but something to check out.

Chris

Probably not just a Canadian option but my car has 'sport' seats with full electrical adjustment including heat. also, the car has no rear a/c.

Full adjustment is 8-way, right? Not 12-way sports?

Hmmmm The listing says "Never smoked in. Never accidented." It doesn't say "Never died in."
I wonder if it comes with a lifetime supply of pinetree airfresheners.

Nah, that's not it, that GTS you're referring to was black, this one appears to have its original silver color still. I remember seeing the black one on auction sale by some government agency years ago, sold for peanuts!

Walt.

Angry 1993 928 GTS - sport seats

Hello one and all,

Give you guys some pictures and you go nuts... Are you guys that critical about wives as well? Firstly, the car has 153,000 KMs that is kilometers and it take about 1.6 of them to equal a mile. That means that the car has 95,000 miles. No the carpets have not been changed, nor has the leather been dyed, and yes the front seats have perforated leather exactly like the back ones and exactly like a sport seat option should have, and no the airbags have not bee replaced. A duplicate of the keys were made when the car was provided for display to Porsche Canada and recovered shortly there after and this took place some 14 years ago. I have owned the car for five years in April and have had no problems with the car. Send me pictures of your wives or (cars) so I can critique them...

Pissed 1993 928 GTS owner...

God I knew I shouldn't have asked....

Thanks for the picture, I have calmed down somewhat. A prospective buyer alerted me to this thread. He already has a shark... must be an illness - Poligamy? Actually several of the potential buyers already owned a 928. You guys must all be sick, hopefully I will recover from my illness shortly...
No offence guys I own other P cars, but I prefer variety, you know, blonds, redheads...

Any other questions about my wife, ops I mean car?
