Default Grinding Blower Motor

So its the middle of winter (I hate snow, salt, rust), my 928 is my daily driver and I have no heat. Well, I do have heat but only the kind that seeps from the engine because when I turn the fan on to get it blowing and the motor makes this awfully loud buzzing/grinding/screeching noise. It smells a bit like burn rubber when it work for its one minute periods so I'm thinking the blower is no good.

First, where is the blower located. I can't seem to find it in my manual. Second, is there anyway to solve the problem by oiling the motor?? Thirdly, where would I buy one if I needed it. I cheched 928 specialist and I couldn't find it, but I probably should have checked with international. Thanks in advance

Here ya go, should be more than enough info in this thread for you.

I bought a used one off a fellow lister, nice and smooth now. Or call 928 Intl for a used one. My old one was shot, very loud and squeeky. I don't see a way to oil it while it is installed.

Under the right side plastic cover up by the hood hinges. CAREFULLY remove that black plastic cover, and the motor housing will be visible up in the right side. I doubt you'll be able to oil it. But possible once it's out and on the bench. Check with Roger at 928rUS, he should be able to help.

Thanks for the help. It would make sense why I'm having trouble because my plactic cover is broken.
