Default Another successful tech session in DFW

Well, we had a timing belt session here in DFW and got a lot of cars checked today. The cars that participated were, Ed, Richard, Danni, Paul, and mine. We had Roger, John, and Pauls son to assist.

What was suprising is on the Kempf instructions it shows that you need to pull the fan shroud and all assortment of things out of the way, but we had them all done in a matter of an hour.

Ed had 1000 on his and it showed that he needed it relaxed a bit on the tension so Rog was kind enough to go back home and grab some shorty spanners to assist in moving the tensioner bolts.

Pauls ended up being in great shape, and there were a few of us that were pretty worried about it (not to mention Paul) due to the PO doing the job with little assistance. Nice job Fausto, you did it correctly.

If I recall correctly, everyone elses were just fine on the tension, but the beer was flowing very well for me (still have not eaten today) and I could be wrong. We do have some pics for the day but they are so damn big that I will have to resize them and will post them later.

Overall it was a great way to spend a Sunday hanging out with friends and enthusiasts

Thanks for coming by today and turning what was going to be just Ed and I doing this in to a full blown tech session. Everyone is invited anytime to hang out and tinker.

Default Beyond Fun --- And By God I learned stuff too.

Was I worried..... HECK YES... I just knew something major was coming down the road.... Thank goodness it was just right.

Thanks to everyone. Sorry, don't remember all your names, but was dang nice putting some faces to the rennlist community.

There are some NICE, SWEET and AWESOME 928(s) in the DFW area. WOW... Cool (is that still a word) does not even come close.

The guys were great. So much knowledge my brain is hurting.

Thanks again for having me and my son. Just grins and miles goin home.

Any time Paul, anytime. The one thing that keeps us on the road are each other. When I picked up mine, I got lucky and got with this group of people that had the knowledge and the desire to learn as we go.

I'm glad you showed up and the enthusiasm you and your son have for that car is exactly why we love our cars. It's a bug that the only cure there is, is pumping that right foot down. Bwaaaaaaaa

(spelling mistakes can not be held against me)

Apparently my camera didn't take pictures of the progress so all I have are pics for Nicole and a few other shots of 2 cars............... This sucks. Angela had shots of all the cars but only a few came out so please accept my apologies.

I suppose there could be no digital camera and we could wait for 2 weeks to get pics.

Sorry guys.

It was hidden in the DFW drive to somewhere thread. It didn't actually have a plan.

I don't have your #, otherwise I would have called you and you would have been more than welcome.

There were quite a few asking where those raised letters came from, so we had to put the plug in on who's great work ended on the back ends.

It was your's and thank you for picking the correct one for mine. If you would like, i'd be happy to share Ed's and mine on a seperate thread. The lighting was crappy and I'm sure there will be better shots of it. As soon as there is some sun in Texas we will get some of these in a close up shot so you can use those as examples.
