Default 3..2..1... no start

So went to start the 928. She's been sitting for one week. turn the key to the final start position and nothing. nada.eventhough the car appears to have full power

Any suggestions?

I'm guessing throw it on the charger, but it seems really odd that nothing happens not even the car trying to start.

Last week when I brought it home I turned the car off and it didn't turn off when I removed the key, however it did when I opened the door.....

Are there any common issuse witht he ignition key switch on earlier 928's?

Sounds like the alarm is tripped and/or the ignition switch is bad. Try to open the door lock from the passanger side and then try re starting the car.

Has the car been outside with snow on it if so i would check the CE panel and see if it is wet if its wet remove the carpets and let it dry pull all of the relays and sit them so the pins face down to drain any water from them , Chack the hot post connection under the hood for contact if it has gotten wet this could also cause the problem and then check the battery and clean the posts

I'm pretty sure the factory alarm disables the car by not sending power to the fuel pump... But, it could be an aftermarket alarm??

I'd guess ignition switch, especially considering the problem you had a week ago... I replaced mine recently... it's not as bad as they make out... give yourself a few hours the first time! Great time to work on other gauge related stuff if you need to.
