I guess I'm the only one that think this Strosek car looks totally nasty. I don't get the need to bastardize the classic shape. Those wheels look like a crummy version of Phone dials, and those lights are awful.

Just because something is expensive, it doesn't mean it is nice.

To each his own, but there are so many things I'd spend money on before $1,200 side skirts.

OK, now I got it Michael!!! Yeah, I have Newfoundland dogs. This may have come up when I posted a picture of me and my "son" on the thread with everyones picture in it. Would love to go to Newfoundland some day though. Also to Montreal, I guess there is a lot of "Redpath" named stuff up there, streets, sugar company, school/library, mining company, etc.

I've seen the Vertex GTS repro wing advertised. Seems to be the cheapest alternative, but I've seen threads here where the finish isn't the best and there are some fitment problems. I still may end up going that way though.

OK,

I have received my response from Strosek on the shipping of my side skirts. They first quoted UPS which was huge from Europe ($365). They noted that this price was very expensive, and suggested that I have my skirts sent to my nearest international airport. For me that is Toronto (North Americas worst airport), and I asked them if they would ship by Air Canada Cargo. Marita, my contact at Strosek was happy to ship by my request, and the price was an acceptable $200.

I am finding dealing with Marita at Strosek a very pleasant experience.

I also asked here if there any special promo items that they would offer to the rennlist at a reduced price. Here is what she responded with…

Rear wing:
1010.00 EUR, ($1315.87 USD)
Discounted price:
700.00 EUR, ($912.02 USD)

Roof spoiler:
495.00 EUR, ($644.93 USD)
Discounted price:
300.00 EUR, ($390.87 USD)

Front section (bumper cover for original S4 light unit):
1505.00 EUR, ($1960.98 USD)
Discounted price:
980.00 EUR, ($1276.92 USD)

Side skirts with air inlets:
1180.00 EUR, ($1537.51 USD)
Discounted price:
826.00 EUR, ($1076.26 USD)

Hans (hans14914), is planning placing an order in the coming months, and has put together a price list page.

Strosek Prices - reduce by 40%

It would appear that all the Strosek 928 prices can be discounted 40%, and that the items are available as individual purchases. Obviously combined shipping could save people money if they were to co-operate. I will also try to work with someone if they are interested in buying something. I will wait for a week to see if anyone would like to combine shipping with me.

Cheers,
Michael

Just picked up my Strosek side skirts today. They are real nice quality, and construction.

It was very easy to deal with Strosek on my order. My contact was Marita Niemann. She was very fast to respond, and very helpful on shipping via my requested shipper. I used Air Canada Cargo (1/3 UPS).

They had my “Ultra (version 1) side skirts” in stock, and they were on my side of the pond in 3 business days.

I will post pics tomorrow.

Ooh! Ooh! Ooh! …. Can’t wait for the B-shop!

Let us know how the fit is and whats involved with adding them to the car. I like them a lot but have other priorities right now.

Wow, that's quicker than many American vendors! Can't wait to see them.

Well, here is a test fit of the side skirts.

I removed the S4 side skirts, however I was not able to get them all the way on until the B-shop. I have to cutout a piece of the lower quarter panel for the brake cooling ducting.

Construction is of very good quality.

Giovanni, no I did not order the Strosek rear quarters. Just the Ultra “version 1” side skirts.

There are 2 types of side skirts…

“Ultra”, which is for the Strosek wide-body (Strosek rear quarter panels). These skirts are integrated or blended into the rear quarters.

The second type is what I have. Ultra “Version 1”, which is for the narrow body, or stock 928 of all years. These are direct replacements for the S4 side skirts. I believe they also are a fit for the “OB”, and “S” bodies.

Very happy. Can’t wait for the paint. I think the curvature of the skirts will really capture the paint colour in the light.

Cheers,
Michael

I think they'll look great. What's going on with your front end?

No thanks on the side skirts. They do look cool.
A friend of mine with an S4 5-speed has those wheels and they would look better with a different center cap but I like them.

Thanks Ed,

The front is my custom front cover. I am waiting on a few parts to arrive, and still need to put some work in on the underside section. Mainly brake, and rad ducting. It is looking very nice, much nicer then my original drawings, but I don’t want to post pics of it until it is done. It should work with the Strosek sides. I will post some pics of that when it is getting prepped at the B-shop.

I should have it done for SITM.

Cheers,
Michael
