Default 89 ROW S4 Brake Wear Sensors

I am performing a brake job on my '89 S4 (ZZZ) and notice there are two brake pad wear sensors per rear wheel (one sensor in each pad, both sensors connected to one cable). Looking at what is available for replacement I have only found single sensor units. Am I looking in the wrong places? Anyone else run into this problem? HELP!

As an alternative, ditch the sensors altogether: if one even occasionally looks at the front pads, it is easy to stay on top of wear .... and in street use, the rears last a very long time. I often tie the sensors back - or replace them with a jumper wire.

one sensor per wheel will work or you can jumper the sensor and remove it from the system.
Best tho is to fix the system so it works as designed one sensor will be fine
