ISV CHECK?
My ISV is out during a intake refresh and wanted to check operation and clean ISV. It seem to work okay before disassmbly but want to make sure before assembly.
I searched through the threads, which of the 3 prongs do I bump for operation?
I dont want to fry the coils.
Thanks

Mike,
I had mine out last winter and checked it with a battery charger. Can't remeber the exact poles for the +12 and the ground but I have posted it on this board. Let me do a quick search and see if I can find it.

Mike,
I can't find my old post but from what I remeber, keep the positive on the middle and switch the two outseide ounes with the +12V. When you have the - on one side the valve will go one way, then when you move the - to the other outter pole the valve will rotate the other way. First try it with a 9V battery just to make sure then, you can got to a 12V. I started with a 12V but with only 2amp, then when I was sure it was the correct way I stepped it up to 50amps. This is where you'll see how fast the valve van react. With the 50amp the vavle was very fast and had a pretty good momentum.

Although I'm chasing a stumble/miss at idle and thus replacing vacuum lines and cleaning injectors(Cruzin Performance). I already replaced caps, rotors, plug wires , spark plugs, temp sensors and no change.
