Well we had some serious snow last night (by TX standards)
Looks very wintery out there.
Thought I would share.

Wow, you don't see that much in Texas Roger! Austin didn't get as much as a snowflake, must have all stayed north. Looks beautiful up there.

Hi Ben,
Your ride is tucked up in the warm paint shop.
Stopped by and took a peek and she is coming on well.

We have winter wonderland in Ontario since early Janaury and will continue till mid March. Temperatures hovering in the low teens and no relief from cold anytime soon. Enjoy the white stuff while it lasts, I'm sure warmer temps are hours away for you Texans.

We have cold but no snow. Not good for the trees, shrubs, etc. because the snow insulates the ground and prevents root burn (freeze). I'd love a foot of the light, beautiful stuff.

Minnesota snow has about 1/2 the moisture content of Seattle or Cleveland snow. It doesn't make good snowballs but it doesn't compact into ice either. It's powder just like at Alta.

Perry S4,
The problem is I have 17 cars here right now and garage space for 6.
New garage in the planning stage.
Customer cars stay under cover mine go out in the cold.

F4GIB, where are you in MN? I grew up in Duluth and have spent the last 5 years here in Austin. Absolutely love it up there. I make a trip back every summer to enjoy the perfect weather. Must be climatizing to TX though, don't get up to MN much in the winter anymore. Do miss driving across those frozen lakes though.

Stay warm, good to know theres some more Minnesotans out there!

My S4 starts in sub freezing weather after sitting overnight with just a bump of the starter. I immediately drive away (as per the manual) and within a mile or two the heater is blowing hot air. Comes up to operating temp very quickly and runs great. 928's are made for cold weather!

Roger, I think the passenger side window is open on the GTS?

And as for 'snow' and cold in Texas.... Texas is a big state. Snow may be rare in Dallas and unheard of in Brownsville. But, it's not so rare in the Panhandle. And Amarillo is as cold or colder than Boston most of the time. But, of course, "it's a dry cold..."

I drove mine home from work last night in the snow. The 928 handles it better than most other cars and a lot better than any of the pick-em-up trucks.
