Door handle replacement/tighten
Just a quick and dirty on how i fixed my door handle today.
The passenger side handle was loose and felt as if it was going to come off in my hand. I had one completely break on another car so i was familiar on how to get in there...but i never took pics. This time i did.
In a nut shell you have to remove the door panel. Nichols has a good archive write up on this. After that its pretty straight forward.

Window should be full up to start
1) remove 2 screws...
2) LOOSEN..DO NOT REMOVE 1 bolt.
the above items hold a metal "guard" that covers the lock mechanism. You need to get it out of the way to reach the two bolts on the door handle. you can get at one...but not the other with the guard in place.
3)lower the window and remove the guard from the door area. careful not to scratch your tint.
4) with the guard removed you can betetr access the 2 hex head bolts that hold the handle to the latch mechansim. TIP: tie some string to the hex key so when you drop it down in the door you can get it
5) reach in with the hex key and remove the bolts....or in my case tighten them up.
6) reinstalled the metal guard.
Done.
the bottom pic is the access to the lock tumbler bolt if your outside lock assembley is loose.

Tony: Yep I think that Brian and I can do that in our sleep,he has helped my with the 78' too many times .I finally turned the thing into a track car just so I did not have to remove so much stuff the next time it happened.Rennlist helped immensley , as in the dark ages (pre Rennlist) I did not think to have the window down during some of the operation.Looks like you had fun.
