I registered at the rennlist forum a couple of weeks ago.

So here is a fast introduction of me and my 928.

I’m 36 speeding to 37. Two boys and a daughter. Live near Lisbon in Portugal. Since I remember the 928 was my dream car.

Recently I start to look on the internet and found there was a few for sale in Germany. So I took my kids savings and run way on a low cost flight to Frankfurt. After two days I was driving a 1992 automatic GTS Amazon green with 90.000km. Drove to Paris for a few days at a friend’s house. By this time my wife found me. Bought a low cost flight and caught me. So I had to drive back home using a fraction of the available power under the hood. Any way it was some fantastic 3.000km boiling away petrol. France is a cold place so global warming is going to help them.

I will try to follow the forum and participate as much as I can.

That's a funny story, Miguel! But I'm glad to hear you are home again...

Does your wife still let you in the house, or do you have to sleep in your 928 now?

Welcome!!! Awesome story Hmmm... GTS or kids going to college? I hear the army is hiring and paying for kids college...

Lots of smart folks here, some even have wisdom to go with it.

Welcome, you are lucky to be so close to some nice cars.

Allow your children to earn back their college money by washing your car.

Good luck with your new car,
and good luck with your wife who seems to like you enough to not ask you to stay in France

Thank you all for your warm welcome.

At the moment I’m waiting for the Jim’s manuals to arrive. After I will study and start to work. Firs task is the belt. Then for what I can see on the forum things will happen, and I will be busy.

Also I have to learn a little more about how the forum works. How to post pictures (I think that it only can be done after I subscribe), replies, etc

Miguel,

Hello and welcome!

I think you're right about the pics. You need to be a member for that. You're gonna love the CDs from Jim. I think someone said the 'search' function here only works for members as well, I don't know about that but if you can, use it frequently. The tb job seems to be the 'baptism by fire', and the first rite of passage.

Keep us posted and again, welcome. If you want to e-mail pics I'll post them to this thread for you. Send me a PM.

Mike

Thank you

I wrote to the rennlist administration to ask how to become a member, as being from Portugal may be different. I will wait for their answer and register.

Then I will start to post pictures, questions and later, maybe, solutions…

No, you've got to be a paying member to get access to that feature.

Becoming a member is pretty easy, and since rennlist accepts PayPal, it should be no problem to do this from almost anywhere in the world. I know that customers have paid me via PayPal from Portugal.
