A racing friend of mine got me thinking - He was asked last year to drive a 1976 Dodge Charger in the Historic Lemans - since he was a member of the orginal team. (He and I will be running an Endurance race together in October 2007 in the 928)

So I started searching and found that the Porsche 928 raced in the 24 hours of Lemans in 1983..

Now wouldn't it be cool for some hardcore 928 people to find the original car that ran in 83 and run the Historics in 2008.

The guy that drove the original 928 is still around..

He still own that car and is slowly restoring it back to racing condition. He did participate also in '84. There are few mentions of the car in archives.

 

Chuck, I'd love to see more on this, as well as the Nardi 186mph enduro runs and hill climbs and rallyes....

Heinrich - we'll probably recruit you to pit for us this year.. Actually I'm starting the October Enduro sitting in the position behind Randy Robinson's Miata.. hopefully giving him a nudge to get his 928 back on the track..
