Default *Updated with pics* Autorama car show in Waco Feb. 26-28

I wanted to let all know about an upcoming car show here in Waco, TX. I am going to try and represent the Great Porsche 928 and enter my car in the show. Entry fee is only 50 bux and that gets you a weekend pass as well. My car isn't concours quality or anything, but it ain't bad either. I'm going to try and get permission to park next to all the (gasp) vette guys that I know here in town that show their cars. There is usually a room where vettes along with various late model F-Bodies and Mustangs and such are located. I'm hoping my car stands out in a good way. Something a little different.

Anyway, if anybody up North (Dallas Ft. Worth) or south (Austin ect.) would like to join me then just let me know. You don't have to show your car, you can just come check it out. I can give you the phone number to the event organizer and he will send you all the info you need to know if you are interested in showing. (I just called a buddy of mine and they only have 14 vettes signed up as of right now.) This room is first come first serve. So let me know.

The only hitch is the car must stay in the show the entire weekend. There is no way to get out of the building until the show is over and all of the other cars get out of the way. This is usually late Sunday (around 8:30 to 9:00pm). The area I am trying to get into usually has to pull in the building on the Wednesday before the event right at 5:00pm (2-21-07). You then have a couple of days to clean up the car at your leisure before the show starts Friday.

Bump. My car is nestled between a sea of Corvettes and vintage muscle cars. If any of you Ft Worth/Dallas guys are bored Saturday, shoot down to Waco and check out the show. Its located at the Waco Convention Center. I'll post the exact address in the Morning. If not, I'll see you guys at the GTG next weekend.

Address is 100 Washington Street - Waco, Tx.

When I was waiting in the parking lot last night to pull my car in the building, a couple of guys were driving through the parking lot circling my car for a while. They finally stopped and got out to talk to me. They asked if it was my car and what year ect. Then they asked me if I wanted another one. He was/is selling an 83 Euro. I told him to get a log in and post it on Rennlist.com in the 928 forum. He breifly told me about the car and I think was only asking $3900.00 I hope he posts because I did not get his name or any info.

Default Some pics

Just got back from taking a few pics of my car. Thought I would share for those who are interested. I think I got a pretty good spot. You can see my car as you walk into the room that I'm in.

Damn man!

1) Your car looks awesome, the black detailing contrasting the shiny tubes is wild.
2) You're going to have answer a lot of questions.
3) '83 Euro? Hmmm...

Default 83 Vette

Some of the Vette guys said that I need to tell everybody that its an 83 vette, because supposedly, there were no 83 vettes sold that year. A transition year to the 84 "cease fire" (crossfire) V-8 model. The flower thing under the hood is not my idea. The Vette display theme this year is a "beach" theme. They didn't want me to feel left out.

Mike,
Nice job - she looks wonderful.
I think you may win something.

Rog,

Thanks Rog and Jec_31.

I'll take it!!! Thorns and all!! I'm the only Pooorshaaa in the entire show. So you never know........I will say that it has stirred up some attention from other show members that have not seen one up close before. So I'm an oddity. Is that good or bad?
