That's way cool! It seems it was a car for Saudi Arabia that ended up here somehow... Would be interesting to see the option codes.

I have NEVER before seen a 928 with an airbag only on the drivers side. I wonder, if that is a special airbag set-up.

Do you think there's any way to get rid of the side markers? Without those, it would look even better.

Didn't RHD cars get passanger side bag in '93 MY? In any case this is very strange setup for LHD ROW model. Anyone have Jörg Austen book on hand? In it there should be some cutoff VIN for ROW non airbag and airbag models IIRR. Maybe this one is done before it and thus only has drivers side bag. Other question is if bag is even connected.

Nice looking car! White has always been a favorite of mine, but the red interior might be too much for me. Is that a leather luggage cover I see?

I didn't see anything out of the ordinary in the intake tubes.

My sticker tells the day that the car entered the country [June 12, 1985], and the mileage at that point- 12 km.

Welcome, and cool car! If I were you, I'd have those silly side markers removed and the holes filled/painted.
Thanks Normy, I will probably drive it to Sebring so get your schedule worked out and you can see it in person. I've been thinking about the side markers and I'm going to leave them for now. I don't particularly like the look but it's part of the car's identity. I may change my mind later, we'll see.

Nicole, If it's something you've never seen, it must be rare. It does have an airbag light on the instrument panel that comes on when the car is switched on and goes off when started, unlike my other S4 that stays on. I've attached a copy of the build label from the hatch. I've found some of the options on the list on 928 Specialists' site.
C32 - ?
X12 or XL2 - ?
XJ8 - ?

I'm not sure what the 5 digit numbers represent but they appear to be 0031(?), 00321, 00341, 09531, 10022, 10081, 10141. Any ideas on these and the ones with ?s above?

Hi Jim, I didn't think I'd like white until I saw one at SITM last year. Seeing it in person changed my opinion. The same thing happened with the red interior. There's just something special about being surrounded by red leather. Yes, the luggage cover is leather. Sweet, huh?

From what I've read in previous posts, it looks like I may have lost the headlight adjusters to the Federalis. I think the lights were changed from H4s to H5s when it was imported so they aren't adjustable anymore. Maybe I'll change them back if all I need are the H4 lights to get the adjusters to work.

Wow! nice Euro!
I have a ROW from Japan, the headlight adjusters don't work on this car either, I wasn't going to pursue it, but if you need some info, here you go.

WOW...cool car! Its unique to say you own a 928 imported via Saudi.

Are those sidemarkers original or custom?

X-Numbers are always Porsche Exclusive option numbers.
XJ-8 is the leather shifter boot, but I can't find XL2 or X12.

5-digit numbers are likely package numbers that we have not been able to decipher.

One more interesting aspect about the airbag is that there is no knee bolster - again something I have not seen on any airbag car. Im 'seriously wondering, if this is a functioning system, or if the steering wheel has been converted or upgraded - which would also explain why it's black in an otherwise all red interior.

It would definitely be interesting to see a Certifcate of Authenticy from Porsche for that car.

C32 = Arab Gulf States,

Saudi Arabia would be C31.

Congratulations, Mike! I, too, like the white especially with the wheels. I hope your fingers are tough. I used to have a 99 BMW 328 with similar wheels and they were a bear to clean. Boy, they sure look nice, though, when they're done. Happy motoring!

WOW that is an awesome car. Make sure you get the headlight adjusters working. I love the leather including rear cargo cover and the red on white is stunning.

Thanks. From what I've read, I believe the headlight adjusters on this one are electric. The link you referenced refers to hydraulic. I'm hoping the electric version might be a little easier to restore.
