Well, Whatever you do, DO NOT sign the insurance papers! Most persons backs are going to experience a severe failure in the next 2 years as a result of an injury like that. You could be out in the yard bending over to pick up a twig, or something stupid like that, and guess what!?! Suddenly your back will fail, and it goes back to the accident!
Start going to a doctor, explain the impact and insist on going to a experienced chiropractor. The accident WILL catch up with you, especially in your line of work! Go thru at least a couple months of muscle and back therapy and still, do not sign off on anything!
I know personally a dozen people who were hit by somebody in an accident, and they settled the next day and guess what, they had some major back problems crop up later, much later. No other injuries but the accident. Now, because they signed off on the "im okay" papers, all they can do is go on partial disability and collect $775 a month.
Don't fall for the scam!

Zues, looks like your blazer did its duty. Good that you are in one piece.

Not feeling so hot today. My back feels like one big knot. It is not a full size blazer. The other guy is fine, he was at my truck within seconds. He said he just wasnt paying attention and could not stop in time. Turns out he is a distant relative. Somehow us Greeks end up being related to everyone.

I hope you're hitting it with large doses of ibuprofen and a heating pad. The last time I was acute I was using 800mg every 4-6 hours for a nearly a week (on medical advice.)
There's a new Sunbeam(?) heating pad with a velcro/elastic strap to wrap around your waist and hold it in place. You can even sleep with it. It works for me better than any before.
