Default 2007 HPDC - Summit Point

A prereq for PCA DEs (at least w/ Potomac) is the High Performance Driving Clinic or AutoX school. HPDC at Summit Point this year is the weekend of April 14th (You need to choose either Sat and Sun, or both if inclined). AutoX school is Mar 25th. Sign up early. Oldtee is a great resource to get you started.

Last year there were several people attending from regions outside of Potomac so I don't think Potomac needs to be your primary PCA region. Some have expressed interest in doing DEs this year so sign up, you won't regret it.

Hey John,

Thanks for the tip. I think I'm going to check into a local PCA membership so I can find out about this stuff.

Hey Mike, do it! First, get your PCA membership. I don't think all regions require the HPDC/AutoX, but I think it's a great way to be intruduced to the track (HPDC). You also get about 4/5 20 minute sessions on the track. Membership might take a while to process, then you'll be running up against the threat of the class being filled up. Not much money and you run through drills on the track that you won't be able to do at a DE (I think). Such as seeing what understeer and oversteer feel like on the skidpad. And most importantly, threshold braking. W/o abs, it took me a while to get the hand of it.
