I think you can safely replace Porsche with "automobile."

I know a couple of women who are car enthusiast, and into Porsches. But for some reason, they don't have that drive that men do when it comes to finding our way into owning that vehicle we lust for. They lack that determination to own it at any cost that most men have.

That might be because most of you guys who own these cars can do at least a LITTLE of the work yourselves. Being at the mercy of most of these mechanics that are out there these days is a little like walking through big city gangland at 3 a.m., when you're 5'1", female and obviously not from the area. It's flat out dangerous, and could get you robbed regularly. Add in the fact that not a single thing about P-cars is cheap (not even a tune up) and it gets harder and harder for the females of this world to get into one.

I'm a huge car enthusiast...I love the look of these elegant, SEXY sharks, I love to go FAST, and I love the looks people give my car when I drive it by them.

But I'm not rich, so if I can't be sure my mechanic knows exactly what he's doing, and is doing it as fairly and as efficiently as possible, do I really want to own a car that is down almost as often as it's up, when annoying, hard to find, electrical problems are the most frequent cause? And the average repair bill is well over $500? NOPE.

I've said it before...if my husband didn't do all the mechanical work, I wouldn't drive a Porsche. Heck, I wouldn't own anything at all. The buses run everywhere around here. Much cheaper than a repair bill a month.

On the other hand, if I won the lottery and could afford to do so, I would own many many Porsches, and damn their maintenance expenses!! I would be the next J Leno...with a garage that was bigger than my castle, and filled with exotic, classic, and otherwise AWESOME fast cars.

So...when Kevin manages to kill himself in his car...can I find someone here who's gonna fill in that slot for me? Losing my mechanic would be the worst thing I could think of at this stage of my life, now that I've been utterly hooked by my shark lust!

I happen to know Zeus personally and I can attest to the fact that while he may be short and fat, he has a very nice tooth!

You could just as easily substitute the word determination with stupidity...

Oh well maybe someday I will find that elusive one that cant wait to go for a ride and then help me wash my 928 and then help cook dinner, Stan
i once dated a girl with an car-gene build in... heck i got tired of her real fast...lol
everytime, i wanted to take the car for a spin , my engine was all over the place.
i then started dating her sister ...

Well, glad to hear you are an enthusiast, AND a Porsche 928 freak like the rest of us. Heaven forbid you should lose your mechanic any time soon. It's nice to know you're in this insane asylum with us.

That's probably more true than a lot of people believe.

The real question is how many single women would date another 928 owner! Ed
