I used to power brake my mom's 400cu pontiac station wagon in HS and it was wicked fun... she used to complain her rear alignment must be off cause the rears would wear so fast, hehehehe...

my stroker w/LSD smokes both 295's with ease, but at $750/set I'm less inclined to spin them except on "special" occasions.

friggin kids can't be trusted at any age. ha!

IIRC, the 4SP AT was originally in mercedes turbo diesel trucks, and can handle up to 600chp... it's a brute. I've run mine all day in 110F + temps on a track like a madman trying to keep up w/911 GT cars (a lost cause, but fun anyway).

I kinda wonder about the TTube but I've yet to hear of anyone turning one of those into a pretzel even w/monster blowers, although I've bent my drop links a couple of times.. I'd guess as long as the tires break loose they kinda act as a circut breaker for driveline stress, so spin away

I used to powerstand with my mom's '71 Buick Skylark with a big block motor. That, of course, was after I got around the corner when borrowing the car, and inverting the top of the air cleaner. Nothing like the sound of a Quadrajet carb sucking in thru all 4 barrels.

She actually had pretty cool cars for a while, even a '67 Camaro Rally Sport when they first came out.
