Default No lights in HVAC unit- replaced bulb!

I worked hard this weekend and replaced footwell and comb
flap vacuum actuators. Lot's of time but relatively easy job using procedures provided by Rennlist members.
Also replaced my HVAC controller and no display lights now. My old unit had broken slide ***** and working display lights.

The replacement HVAC controller was purchased from a Porsche dismantler. Could this be a bad connection from flat cable or round cable connector?

Replaced PO Alpine head unit(what a snake pit) with Porsche Becker CDR-220 and display is poorly illuminated,Is this typical? TALKED TO BECKER NA. REQUIRE UPDATED FACEPLATE $100 with core.

When removing the center console I broke the light in the clock(need new holder and bulb) so now my center console is completely dark. THANKS IM0ooo

Can anyboby offer any help?

The 2 sliders are illuminated by a single bulb and fiber optic cable. If the original sliders are present then I would guess the bulb is burnt. If they have been replaced then either bulb or optic cable was not insered or is broken.

Where is the bulb located and what type? How many bulbs?I opened the unit proir to installation and the fiber optic cables in ***** seem to be tight and inserted properly.

Reopen the case and trace the wires - they lead to a single 2W bulb - easy to replace ( probably a good place to drop in a LED).

Mike, I think I still have the clock light buld and socket from the parts car. It's yours at no charge if you can pick it up or just cover the shipping.

Mike or anyone else,

I think I found it but since the centre console was earlier removed I want to make sure I have the correct plug/bulb. Anyone has a picture of the digital clock bulb and socket?

The one I think it the one is black, with unever length prongs (- is longer than the +). The bulb is narrow (~3mm), almost cylindrical shaped. I'm hoping htis is the correct one. The bulb was burnt out so I replaced it with a spare one and also cleaned the contacts with steel wool.

Yes, your description is accurate. I have the old holder but riped the internals when unplugging.
