Who's interested in replacement belly pan ducts?
As we all know, the new belly pans available don't come with ducts. I'm getting the name of a guy fabricating NLA parts for 356's, and I thought I'd see if he'd be interested in fabricating several sets of these. I gotta believe that there are more than a few people on the list who would go for a set. They are not straight forward pieces of metal, there are numerous curves and bends. Assuming there is buying power with quantity, let me know who may be interested, and once I have a tally, I'll see what a few sets will cost.
EDIT: These probably won't be real inexpensive to get them done as close as possible to Porsche's design, which seems to have purpose. Go to page three of this thread to see pics I took of my stock pan/ducts.

I have a factory pan that I can't bring myself to put on the car, and a metal pan that I've been too lazy to install. I'd be interested in a pair of ducts, but you're right, they're not exactly simple designs. For the terminally lazy:

It might be useful to see just where the air is being directed, and just make something that puts air in the right places. The factory duct could be the way it is because it was easy for Porsche to make it that way.

I am interested as well. This is the reason I havent yet decided to get an aftermarket pan as they dont have ducts, and I dont have an original pan to take the ducts from.
I am certianly interested at the right price.

They need to be less then $200 for me, considerably less honestly. You can still get new Pans from porsche for I think $230 or something. So I would be willing to spend $100 for a pair, but not much more. Obviously the new pan has the ducts attached, but from what i can tell If i had extra cash i may do a Rob E. and buy the thing while its still available, drill out the rivets put the ducts on the new pan and put the original away in the attic

Yeah, the complete plastic pan is still available from Germany via Sunset, I got mine for $235 (though it took 2 months, the first to arrive was already broken- those front mounting legs are ridiculously spindly). I suppose if you were handy with a pop riveter you could pull the (metal) ducts off the factory pan and transfer to the metal pan, and save the factory pan for your future concours career.
I think the price point would have to be in the ~100 range, at least until the supply of complete pans (or busted pans whose ducts can be salvaged) dries up.

The belly pan was missing on my car when I got it. I ordered a "used" one from one of the big 3. Needless to say it was delivered duct-free. I saw the holes in my new belly pan, but didn't think much about them. I had no idea there should be ducting there. I wonder if that explains my slight increase in engine temp after the pan was replaced.
I would be in for one as it seems it is something that is needed.
