My '88 euro had one - so as you are in 'euro' territory, the odds are improving of having one ....

Looks like the in tank pump was an option on the Euro M460 so look at your option codes...

How often does the in-tank filter need to be replaced? How do you replace it?

It screws out pretty easily....HOWEVER...be cautious to not overtorque it when screwing it back in...since the tank is plastic and the screw fitting metal...you don't want stripped plastic.

I have an 88 S4 ROW brought in from Japan and it had an optional in tank fuel pump. I wonder if I can delete this and fit the in tank fuel filter instead? Any ideas? Just how much extra pressure/performance does the in tank fuel pump give out?
