Tierods OBS should they have a "dent" in them?

Default Tierods OBS should they have a "dent" in them?

I noticed both of my tie rods have a dent in them on the part of the tube that's facing the rear? I ask if it's supposed to be there because it's off they'd both be dented on a trailng edge in the same place, much more likely to be damaged on the front.

Are you sure that it is not a 'flat' pressed in for a wrench to adjust the toe-in when the lock nuts are loosened on the outer rod end?
