Tampa, You can do this. Take your time and get all your bits and pieces togeather. Any of the big 3 will know what you'll need. If you run into any road blocks let us know. There's plenty of folks on the list who'd be happy to help.

Timing belt off location on cams
My old belt Pass side is centered on the rear of the cam, the Driver side belt on cam seems centered. I think this was brought up on a post any feed back.

Tampa,
For the air pump belt, there's a write-up somewhere (I think Pirtle's) that suggests you use another nut to pull the air pump in to get the belt off. I did this and it worked just fine. I don't know what year car you have or what setup, but that's the way mine worked. My '85 had a few other differences I can tell you about if it will help.
How do the gears look? I opened mine up and ended up having to order all new sprockets because they were all dished and worn.
Hang in there and keep us posted.

Tampa,
That's good news about the gears. The cam alignment was a major concern of mine (although it turned out to be a non-issue). If you don't have to pull them you won't have that to worry about.
Can you post pics? Some of the experts on here can give you an idea of whether or not your alignment is OK.
One thing Porken said in a previous post is that the alignment of the belt is entirely controlled by the tensioner arm. If you're going to be servicing this (new rollers) then the current alignment may not be a factor. I don't think you need to be concerned about anything until the new belt is on and you've pulled it through a few revs. The current one may be stretched, worn, whatever.
You should post the year of your car so the experts here can help you out. Pics are always helpful too. Good luck.

Tampa,
Mike's got a good point...can you post some pics ? The belt should be centered on the cam sprokets. Let see what can be done to get this to work right. I haven't seen this on my car but I'd be intersted in what the root cause is.

Good luck man. Once you get into it, and don't let any broken bolts get you down- it happens. There is always a solution. Patience is the key.
I did mine for the first time this past summer. No major problems but a few multi-day setbacks. I'll be cheering for you!

IF you don't have any photo management software, go to Google, and download their Picasa2 software. You can resize the pics quite easily, allowing them to be uploaded to Rennlist.
