Default Is there a market for slotted rims?

I have a set of slotted rims with Dunlop S-somethings (8000? 9000?) on them, taking up space in the garage that I would like to reclaim.

Is there any market for these rims/tires?

I'd like to find a SoCal set, staggered width, either polished or chromed, but its a low priority, just whenever I find a nice set or pair in my budget.

I think they're great as a back up set, or a track day set of wheels. I have an extra set in my garage.

I've got some in Mass with VR4s. I believe they are forged. Originally gold tint, would need refinishing to be nice or possibly suitable for tack with new rubber.

I sent a PM back to Bill Swift, who has first dibs. If he doesn't want them, first $500 plus shipping takes them. In San Diego, I can help arrange for local delivery or pick up.

I have a pair that have been sitting in the garage for quite a while, PM me if interested.

Eventually I'll have to part with my chromes for 17 inchers.

They make very nice drink coasters for cyclops cocktail parties.

Other than that use, not so much.

I like mine, glad I don't have phone dials. My gold is still in tact except for one rim that is starting to look a tad faded, rest are great. I think if my car was not the silver/champagne color I would have a different opinion.

The FORGED S / S-4 wheels are much stronger and lighter than the cast phone dials also much more expensive new. The only real issue is the original factory mat anodized finish was / is dull... The came in dull silver or dull Platinum (goldish) and NEVER chromed or polished but many USA dealers had them chromed before they put the car on the showroom floor.

One of the best wheel polishing places is right down the street, maybe around the corner, from 928 Intl. I forget the name, but its the place I think all the good dealers used.

Just a recap for what I want, 16", not a track rim, I want a very nice looking set of staggered width slotted rims, either polished or chromed, cheap, but no hurry at all to find them, just when they turn up either as a pair or a set. Thinking more Craigslist than Rennlist as a source, but PM if what you have fits and it might be in Socal sometime. Right now I think I want 225/245, but that could change if I find more power.

I'd like to buy some S4 wheels to put track tires on. I want 4 of the 8" rear size only, I'll give $120 each for good wheels, ugly finish OK but no damage. I can handle having UPS come and pick them up, Please PM me.
