Panties in a wad.

Merry Christmas to all, regardless.

I'm actually having a great day - not hungover, it's an OK day ouside, relatives are in town.......just killing time until I need to be somewhere!

I dunno, someone ripping off John D doesn't sit right with me. If the rest of the "group" doesn't have any issues with that, well, then I'm on my own island.

What is the best way to put this? The #1 support group you will ever have is right here on Rennlist. We don't care what you have on your car, we will do everything we can to help you get your car up and running.

The seller of this kit is no longer welcome on Rennlist. In fact, he was bold enough to say he never benefited from being here in the first place.

Being somewhat new here, i'm not up on all the dramas, but I am considering ordering a kit from 928turbosports when they become available for the 16v.

I really don't know what to make of all the **** talking. Is the guy ripping people off with his kits? Is it bad service? Is the kit garbage?

If not, then what's the problem???

I really what to know...

Here all the facts without the drama.

Murph kit - proven. 40+(?) kits on the road - no serious issues with any of them. Great support. For MY 87+

928 Motorsports 16V kit - seems to be a proven system - I don't know how many are on the road, but it seems to be well supported by the merchant. For MY 78-84

928 Specialists - two know installs (aside from the prototype). Great support - a few issues, but nothing major. Major waitlist. Based on the Andy Keel twin-screw kit which is NLA. For 87+

928Turbosports - One known install in progress. Unknow support qulaity. Not welcome on rennlist for now. For 85-86 5-speed and maybe autos. Might also work on other years, but unknown.

Did I miss anything?

Oh yeah, there this guy named Herr-Kunn who's built a few Twin Turbo's and says he's making a kit, but I'll believe when I see it. I think he got a time-out from rennlist, and may have decided to walk away from society in general.

Now I think that's it. I purposely left performance and price out as those are trade-offs you have to make, and should be part of your own research. People will start spewing statistics and what not, but you really should do your own invstigation.

Hacker, I really don't understand your posts. On the one hand, your nice to Mark directly:

Good luck.
And now here:

Because it's a bold lie and he knows it. Not one part on either kit is interchangeable. after he spammed over 600 928 owners by stealing e-mail address from John D, that was the final straw. I’ve had it with him.
He follows the business model "cart before the horse"..
And it goes on and on... Didn;t really know this type of stuff went on here.

Alright thanks for the cliffs.
Have heard of those other kits but they are SC's. There's nothing I really like about SC's so they'd be the drop-dead last option for me.

Short of having a turbo kit fabbed locally, I'm very interested in buying a kit from Mark. And the're kinda pricey so you can understand my concern.

Still trying to understand the why all the badmouthing of 928turbosports...

I have been very supportive of Mark up until this past week. Two actions by him were enough to show another side of him that IMO are inexcusable.

Up until a thread that was started a few days ago in the OT area and his actions that caused the thread to even start, I never really had anything negative to say about Mark.

It's not like I'm going around starting threads about him. I'm simply commenting about items that are posted that are 100% false - I cannot help it if making these comments paints someone in a bad light.
