$900 is a fair price for a custom-bent exhaust... If it was in series production by a manufacturer with a production line, it might be cheaper...maybe... For example, Burns stainless will make you an X-pipe any way you want, or you can buy a production part from them, for about $350-400, but its ONLY the X, no flanges or hookups- that's more money. By the time you get it into your exhaust system, it will be more than the one Rich bought- so, even a production part may not be cheaper. Rich got a nice system fittied to HIS car, for fair price.

So, Jim, what's the story, eh? you let the cat outta the bag, so give us a few details, please? We all know you will sell us exhaust for $50 bucks or so, right?

Looks very similar to mine including same components. Only difference is mine is straight out the back and I do not find it too loud.

The very brown 1980 is always available for test fitting although Mark just drove one of the parts cars over to the producer and left it there for a month or so while they worked out the prototype. Next is a production sample which we might just fit to the very brown 1980. This is a single pipe system for the 79-84 cars.

We did give them a car to do the prototye but the first article from production will also need to be fit so maybe we can work something out. The system will be all stainless.

Since the 85 and early 86s have a unique cat back system, it’s not really cost effective to make a production run on them. I would just go to the local muffler shop and have them make a custom fit system for you.

So they were cool with doing a catless system, huh? Oh wait, I'm sure the resonators are catalytic...haven't found a shop to help me out with a similar setup here, thinking I may just have to get a welder and start practicing-- I think I have a plan that won't require additional bends. But the parts I've assembled are for dual pipe..hafta check the diamter and price-point on that new news, when its released . Although shipping will be a sharp stick in the eye.

PS- nice pic on the tips!

My favorite sign,

Do not look at welding arc with remaining eye.

SMT,

High flow 100cl metal matrix cats go on next week.
To get rid of the exhaust stink and quiet it down a tad.
