That humble thing works both ways at the stoplight, but I know what you mean, beating them when they think they have easy prey.

I'm not saying I don't or wouldn't do it, but racing on the street is a slippery slope as soon as winning starts to mean more than having fun. If you can't be happy, "doing well", even if you don't win, chances are you aren't going to spend a lot of time happy.

I thought one guy I was talking to about making more HP was going to blow a cork when I said I would rather have the car sound fast than be fast. I learned that in a Triumph GT6+, not much go, but sounded so sweet doing it. OTOH you do need some Hp to make the tires properly play along with the exhaust.

Have you considered putting a Nitrous kit for the 928? Do you have a write-up? My n/a S4 could use some power AND its LSD.
Hi

The 3.9 was when I changed to 18 x 10 rears (150 hp Nitrous jetting )
...until then on 16 x 7 my best was 4.87 (75 hp Nitrous jetting) with no traction

Write up here at the PCGB 928 site I moderate.....

This is so true.....when I went to a PCA DE with my stock S4 auto....I was surprised that many of the new Porsches just couldn't keep up?!? CaymanS...BoxsterS...Carrera S.....even a 911 Turbo S convertible ($170K car).....I could keep up or pass all of them (sure the turbo got away on the straights...but sucked in the corners)...granted the drivers were rookies like me....but the 928 feels so balanced and confidence inspiring on the track!
