Anyone have success replacing spark plugs in an 85-86 without having to remove the intake manifold? Is it just a matter of using a knuckled ratchet, or am I missing a trick?
I figure as long as I have the air intakes out I want to do this.
Thanks,
Matt

The car didn't come with a toolkit. Is there a decent aftermarket replacement?Originally Posted by touque
Matt - do you have (or have you tried) the sparkplug tool in your toolkit?

Just take the intake "wings" off. It only takes 5 minutes and causes less frustration. If your motor mounts are shot and your engine is sitting a little lower, it becomes even more difficult to access the plugs with the intake on.
