Shark Treffen (Metro-ATL GTG)

Everyone lined up for a pose. Thanks to Mrs. Blown87 for making this picture especially good! Greg would have driven his 928 but apparently it is very complicated to install plug wires on one and he didn't have enough days to complete the job.

Jack and Larry. Jack is the Master Technician at Hennesey Porsche and has been there since they first made 928s. That's his red car, 240,000 miles ago he did the PPI when it was new and going to a customer, now it's his car. Those 18" wheels are surprisingly big and look very good. Having Jack at a Treffen is the next best thing to having Ferdinand Porsche.

Milling about. For some reason all the Sharks were 87 and later ones. This must mean that some of us need to buy 86 and earlier cars, maybe a track car with a serious engine, hmm...

Need to see more pics of the white car next to the accountant. It has a set of five spokes from the 2000 911 that I've bid on local... need to see how they look on the car!
Hope to catch you guys next time, maybe up on the Richard Russell scenic hiway, or on Blood Mountain???

Thanks for posting the photos Mike. They turned out well. Yes. Jack is a great guy. I'm really picky when it comes to my cars. He is the only one I would trust with my Porsches other than me. I've seen him in action and trust not just his knowledge of these cars but also his honesty.
When I first brough Gretel to Jack for her post PI, one of my SOTP was flat performance at WOT. Jack found that #5 spark plug although brand new had closed gap. The PO was chasing something because she had brand new plugs, Beru wires, etc.
A dishonest tech could easily have taken me for a valve job rather than a $10 spark plug. Not Jack, he's straight as they come. Glad I've got someone like him in the ATL. He has become more than a reliable Porsche tech to me. He is a true friend.
Having your own machine shop helps in maintaining 928s. So when do we see the BB, I mean the track car.
Bus: that Ed MD's 1988 Shark. She's breathtaking in person. Doubt any photo will do her justice but hopefully Ed picks up on your request and obliges with a detailed image. And yes, those CIII are awesome sneakers!

I really hated missing this, but we had a Christmas get-together already scheduled for that day...
I would like to propose a drive thru the North Georgia mountains, ending at our log cabin near Jasper next time. Hamburgers on the grille, etc.

Let me know when the next gathering is planned, I'll definitely attend. Hard to get away during the holidays. Any of you planning to attend Winterfest in Chattanooga in February?

Great pic's.
I look forward to the next event. I should have my new Zim rotors on, calipers painted, Champagne leather wheel and shifter installed by then (actually I hope I will have all this done way before then). Parts are sitting on bench in the garage, but motivation and time have been limited.
