Default Free Oscilloscope !

To me this is nothing more than a conference room table decoration....surplus to our needs here and last calibrated in 96'. I'm told it works fine but I had trouble spelling Oscilloscope, let alone figuring out how to use it. SO...free to anyone on the 928 list, just pay your own shipping !

Any electronic nuts out there?

IIRC that is a Tektronix T922 maybe a T935. These are dual channel scopes with a limited bandwidth of 15Mhz (T922) or 35Mhz (T935).
Here is a website that has some information on the Tek T921/T922/T935 family along with service info and a downloadable manual (~15MB).

http://www.logwell.com/tech/oscillos...Tek_T922R.html

Enjoy!

There are many signals coming from various points in the car that can be used in trouble shooting rather than just fit new parts by guessing what may be wrong.

You can also use them to tune your tv; got anymore?

To over-simplify, a scope give a trace - a picture, if you will - of an electrical signal, plotted as voltage against time.

So, to give some examples, you could hook to the injector circuit, or the Hall Effect sender, or the ignition primary circuit, and see the pattern of the voltage rise and fall, including the timing.
