Sway Bar Link Install Question
I went out to the garage today to begin pulling out my stock sway bar and replace it with the 928 Spec. one. I also have a set of Carl's adjustable sway bar links that I want to install. When I checked everything over, I noticed that the bolt that runs through the lower shock mount to the sway bar link was installed backwards, so I have to remove this bolt completely when I replace the link.
Will pulling this lower bolt out be a straightfoward job? Is anything on the shock under tension that is just waiting for me to remove that bolt so it can take my head off? (I don't think so, but I just wanted to ask the experts...)
Thanks!

The only thing the bolt holds is the bottom of the strut to the lower A arm. You may have to fiddle with the alignment of the holes some when you turn the bold around, but there are no surprises.
Why would you want to install a 928 Spec sway bar AND adjustable links? IIRC the 928 sway bar has two or three positions and can already be adjusted.
Sounds like the department of redundancy department to me.

I don't remember it being a problem, but you can go to https://www.928gt.com/ps-40344-124-9...ar-system.aspx and click on the links to the install instructions. They had the procedure for reversing the bolt IIRC.
Good luck!

cool...thanks.
Ernest, the ends of my sway bar links are shot, so I wanted to replace them. I bought a set of links from Carl before I decided to change out the sway bar. I'm finally getting around to getting the job done this winter.
