Is that because your taking the 928, parking it in the next zip code, and walking to the mall?

Three more days and counting. Haven't heard from Dan - don't need to drive up in your 928. Show bring a picture for the doorman.

I have neither a 928 nor a picture of one. However, I do have half a 928 engine. Will that work?

Brian,

Didn't mean to exclude you. I forgot to do a cross-post in the other water-cooled forums after talking with Michael. Come on over, it still is a watercooled event. Blame Michael for and not keeping us straight.

Excellent, I can be y'alls whipping boy!

Anyway, I hope to be able to make it. I've got a big project due Monday but I've been itching for one of these GTG's for a while so I'll likely be there. In fact, I'm about to wash the car! (Stupid bird crap...)

I think our original "tune-up" candidate is out. Any other small projects other than clutch replacement?

Tune up is back in. I'm able to make it along with Mike and his 89 S4 for the tech session specimen. I'm looking forward to seeing you guy again. I think I'll bring my 90 S4 so I can blow the dust off.

Yeah....

My parts are here

I need to replace the adapter breather on my radiator side tank. I've also got all my cast hole rotors and new pads But that's another project. For now I just want to get past this cooling system issue. If time permits, I'd like to try to find the short in my CE Panel so my interior lights, remote release and back up lights will work again.

I've got practice from 9:00-11:00, so I should be there around 1:00ish.

Looking forward to seeing everybody....

Jerome,

How hard can it be to change rotors? Lift the car as high as possible, take the old rotors off, and drop the car as quickly as possible. I think the old rotors will come off. Installation is the reverse process (kind of...)

'bout time Dan. I thought (not really) that you were going to leave us after your acquisition. But just remember, we only help recover other 928s. Your beetle dies on the side of the road you're going to have to thumb it. Maybe you can flag a honda or something for a tow.

They don't make antifreeze for 993s anymore. You're only hope is to go to the junk yard and drain some from a wreck. Maybe you'll need to find two to fill it.

There are just a "few" more steps than that... but yes that's the general gist of things. However, as we all have found out, nothing ever goes as planned. That's why I say it's a project for another day. Besides... I'd rather have my interior lights working after I fix the cooling.

Jerome,

Sorry my joke didn't come out right. I meant to say, "If you don't study hard you get stuck..." Wrong forum. But I meant to say lift the car, take off the wheels, and then drop it to knock the rotors off.

A cople of words and the meaning drastically changes. I need to study upon more Kerry stuff.
