Default ABS light question??

OK, I am down to my last warning light.... yeah! If I understand properly, this has to be reset at a tech station. I have such a person here that would do it for a pizza trade which is fine by me. The PO said he did not like the way the ABS functioned and had it disconnected, but did not know how or where in the system this was done? All the fuses and relays are in place, but there is a couple of unplugged mystery wires (pictured) what are these? Where would one disconnect the system? Is it worth hooking back up?

Robert,

forget the ABS relay and fuse. I tried pulling both and it had no effect on the ABS warning light and central warning light.
I recently upgraded to a big brake package that does not allow for use of ABS.
Let me know if you find out how to permanently keep these warning lights off.

Don't connect the wires in question. The brown one is the low octane loop, and as for the green, not sure, but someone will chime in. In any case, do not connect them.

Robert
Try the relay.....mine had an odd intermittant warning, typically on start up...but would go away....then one day it completely failed....it was the relay.....easy fix too!

Somebody told me that the brake pad wear sensors will cause the ABS light to go on.
Is there any truth to that? I'm about to get to them to try this point.

My ABS light is my last warning light to fix, I can't wait to have that done!
