Shark envy!
So I pull into a local automotive center (kind of a automotive strip mall) filled with Muffler, Auto mechanics, Auto body & paint shops as well as a couple of specialized shops (Euro, Nippon etc.). I was stopping at a local machine shop in this center to discuss some projects I have planned. Parking was scarce so I parked in front of shop a couple hundred feet away.
Now I didn’t plan this, but did have my window down and overheard some of the folks in the shop commenting on my car as I was collecting the items I wanted to discuss with the machinist.
While most where complementary the one that stood out was the guy that said “dame that thing looks kind of frightening.” Now when I think about it he might have been thinking that I was coming to them for some work and where intimidated considering most of the vehicles the shop had in their stalls where cheap run a the mill domestic fare and unimpressive plain Jane imports. Or as I originally thought – the one guy was genuinely impressed.
But even if it was an insult I coveted it as if I was a Raider Fan being told that his team is a bunch of thugs & unsavory sorts.
All part of the mystique of the Shark I guess.
No real point to this post just making an observation. However when I left there where now more guys gathered in front of the shop. When I got in and prepared to turn the ignition I made sure to watch their expressions and as soon as the engine kicked over all heads looked up & where on my Shark and followed as I pulled away.
God I love my Shark!

I get the same thing sometimes with my VehiCross. Always makes me grin.
