928 spotted on CNN today!!!
I just saw a black 928 on CNN headline news. They show its tailpipe and then pan back to show the left bumperette and the rear bumper cover. It is at the beginning of their Global Warming story. Is it anyone here?

No. They show lots of cars during the news clip. It's just not everyday that you see a shark on TV. Heck, its pretty rare to see one (otherthan your own) in the real world.

I saw the same thing. My girlfriend thinks there is something wrong with me because I recognized it by just the tailpipe before the camera panned out. Maybe there is something wrong with me. At least it looks like I'm in good company.

How about the old game where, at night, you name the car by the headlights that are coming your way or the tail lights going away?!
(I probably had to much time on my hands when I was growing up in AZ!!)

My mechanic said this morning he saw a red one on the local morning news; someone got shot in Lompoc, CA (near Santa Barbara) and the victim had an OB 928.
Of course, my first thought, was "maybe I could get a deal on it". Second thought, given the circumstances, was if I'd find a stash in it somewhere.

That's not good.

OK, I see that Rog100 went to San Jose this week. For those of you not from California, Lompoc is hundreds of miles from San Jose. I'm going to watch the late news to see if I can see the report.

My track record as of late has been pretty bad though. I mistook a Pontiac for a new 6 series recently.

I don't know what the victim's story is, but it's bound to be equally seedy. No doubt there will be a red OB for sale in Lompoc soon. There were no pictures of the 928 in the article I read, so I know nothing of the exact year or condition. Will be watching eBay and the traders just out of curiosity.
