If not sealed, shelf life is pretty short, I understand.

Some of this goop even poofs through a foil seal. I bought 3 bottles of that emergency gas stuff, and never opened one that still had stuff inside.

So will Stabil help clean off the varnish deposits on the gummy/sticky fuel level sender float wires?

Ernest (NYC) "Best Guess" brand fuel guage.

Perhaps in large chunks that might clog other parts of the fuel system?

I dunno about StaBil but Techron seems to do the above.

Adding 'cleaner' to a very dirty fuel system might be problematic. I've seen one case where Techron broke loose enough varnish to clog up the fuel pump check valve. (And it didn't fix the sender.)

Bill, just add 1 oz of Techron to the StaBil and you should be fine .

I will be getting some of this stuff tomorrow to try it out.

I have a feeling no matter what you put in the tank, periodically the injectors will need a real cleaning.
