Default Fuel pump relay lasted 20 years to the date

My fuel pump relay gave in today, fortunately in my driveway. All relays are stamped November 1986 (my S4 is a 12/86 production run) so I guess it's done its duty! I think from now on I'll keep spare relays in the car...

I changed all my relays as well as all fuses just to eliminate potential problems down the road, or ON the road. I think a good idea, and you end up with a lot of working spares for a road trip. If you don't need them, somebody else will.
Everybody needs to travel with a fuel pump relay and fuse chart for their year 928 and a bunch of fuses.
