I don't know if this applies to anything here, or if it is a common problem, but Brendan bought a cheap early LSD (from some guy ), and after disassembling it (of course), he found that one of the pins/axles for the spider gears where broken.

Has anyone made the Porsche tool that checks to see if the LSD is functioning properly or needs rebuilding? It shows a picture in the manual and says, local manufacture. It seems simple enough, but I would rather borrow than make from scratch.
