Default 928 flywheel Clamps - batch#2

I'm updating the fact that we still have a few of these Clamps left as of 04/14/2007.

Thankyou,
Constantine

Just in time for the Holidays! We have another batch in of 928 flywheel clamps that help stop the driveshaft movement at the OE front flexplate clamp. A few are spoken for but we have a handful to sell. Price is the same $380.00 USD plus shipping.

Those that expressed prior interest have been contacted.

Cheers,
Constantine
P.S. This offering was cleared through Randy V.

Has anyone installed one of these yet from the last batch? Has there been any migrating? I have a '88, the last year TT to have the grooves for the shim stack, and was wondering if I should just do the shim stack install or buy one of these new clamps. Are there any advantages, one over the other? The shim stack would be cheaper, but harder to install probably.

BTW, I have to do a TT change soon anyway, so the shim thing might not be so bad.

Hi mike,

Yes people have installed the clamp and I have not heard of any problems so far.

The shims were discontinued by Porsche for a reason and from we have found the reason was they were hard to set up correctly. The instructions are in the manuals and they should be followed to the letter if using this method.

The new clamp set up is much simpler. It was also designed to be loosened when needed and then re-clamped with no loss of clamping force unlike the current Porsche flexplate clamp. This new clamp needs to be installed when the TT is out of the car.

Good luck with whatever you decide,
Constantine

Five clamps are left from this order. Anyone contemplating a TT change out on their auto 928s in the near future should consider this clamp since it would be the best time to install it.

Currently working on another project for our 928s and other Porsche models and this might be the last batch of clamps for awhile. Need to focus energies and resources for the new products.

Cheers,
Constantine

Hi John,

Sure, send them in. I am starting a collection of the installs.

Hope all is well,
Constantine
