Stops your cell phone from sliding around, and getting caught between the gear shifter and the ashtray.

It works well. I've had one in the '81 for a year or so, and the cell phone stays put, even under hard cornering. I bought this one for the '86 while buying synthetic oil at WalMart, $4.50.



The pad has a paper backing which makes it easy to cut into shape. The sticky gets tired after a few months if it has too much dust on it. Clean it with window cleaner, or in the sink, to renew it.

They make flip flops with a layer of this stuff on top and no straps between the toes, just sticks to your foot. Same thing, peel it off, wash, ready to wear again. Topless Sandals or something like that.

I had an issue for years as to where to put a cell phone in a 928...'specially a 5 spd. Then one day the absolute obvious jumped out at me....at least with MY phone. It fits neatly behind the door grab handle. Doesn't move and easy to get to. This should work for 95% of the phones out there.

BTW, Ken...you gonna be at the dinner on Tuesday night?

Just remember to take stuff out when you open the door, I use the door grab for my wallet sometimes in a drive thru etc. and next time I open the door it drops, or close the door and it drops inside the car.

With the new cell phone law I guess I will start wearing a headset and keep the phone in my pocket.
