JDS-Spanner is a great tool at an affordable price. I don't start troubleshooting without one

The Spanner is available from 928 Specialists in the USA. On their drop down meni, select "browse by parts type" then select "Accessories", then "tools". The Spanner is about 1/2 way down page 1.

If you have any technical questions, ask me.

I haven't been able to get to the bottom of the fact that some GT's appear reluctanct to diagnose. I have spent a large amouint of time and money trying to determine the issue.

Some cars are OK, some not.

Rob, I have meant to do video clip for John to see LED doing its morse code like signaling what its doing when it hangs. Since friend sold his GT I don't have easy access to offending 928 right now. He has other '90 GT already but it needs full engine rebuild before we can get to this point again. There are other 928s in here I can try next summer which cave same problem. I'm sure John can help you on debuging if you work with him.
