I used the HF dollys with the same results as everyone else. Hard to change directions, took three people to move the car and in the end, I used a floor jack to take the weight off the dollys. The casters on the floor jack were worse than the casters on the dollys and the side pressure on the extended jack arm ended up bending (and ruining) the jack. I switched floor jacks and ended up bending the second as well. These were the aluminum jacks you see advertised everywhere for about $150. I think the quality of these dollys varies greatly and I would opt for a better pair.

Just wanted to clarify - the dollys I used were the less expensive ones sold by HF (as a set of four), not the ones Dr Bob is referring to.

Unless your basement/garage floor is very level, you may want to go w the cheapie HF dollies. I've got a set of 4 that I've used on my '82 in a garage w a definite 'slant' to the floor. I usually have to get help to get the car moved but if I had a good set (like the lo jaks which a friend has for his business), I'd end up 'losing' the car on the d#mn slanted floor. I don't move it that often so these work fine for me, so it depends on how often, level of floor and if you can get help.
