I just read on another board about a gathering of Exotics in Carlsbad? Does anyone here know anything about it happening on Saturday 11-18-06.

Could be dancers, could be Porsches. Apparently its cars on the last Saturday of the month at the Outlet mall.

Assuming it isn't raining its a nice area, I don't recall the parking as that extensive, its outlet style where all the stores are spread out with a fairly narrow band of parking spots all the way around, and pretty full on Saturdays too. Nothing too fancy, but a few "Mimi's" type places to eat.

Maybe someone else will know more about what the parking is like now, or if its changed or what applies to this.

In the wake of the demise of the weekly Crystal Cove show (thanks for your support, Irvine Company..... ), many of the same folks have been congregating at the Cars and Coffee show, which was organized by Tom Shaughnessy and Freeman Thomas at Ford's PAG center near the Irvine Spectrum.

They have a weekly marque-specific corral, which so far has been Porsche, Mazda, and English marques. It would be a nice central locale for the SoCal folks to congregate- there are 400+ parking slots so I'm sure they could accommodate a shark tank....

Cars and coffee at the mazda headquarters is quite good. Some are also meeting that the Balboa pier.

Since many will be away for Thanksgiving Holiday w/family, instead of the regular last Sat of the month in Carlsbad this month, I propose we have a BIG meet the wknd before instead.

Tommorrow (Saturday 05/31) is the Carlsbad Exotic car show from 7 -9 am. I was thinking about bringing my 928-- who else is up for it: Brendan, Randy, Brett, SocalGirl, PerryS4, BillS, ibkevin, MCmilstien, bdonaldson, etc..

Last Saturday of every month
All cars are welcome:Exotics, European, Domestic, Muscle Cars, Hot Rods, Japanese Tuners and more.

So far this year we've been averaging at least 100 cars each turnout and Id like to see it continue to grow even larger. So get the word out.
