Hey, Porterville! The place in the mountains is at Shaver Lake. Grew up in Reedley. Were you at Sharktoberfest?

Since I don't have your model in stock, you will need to send me your wheel to re-cover.
Turn around is about 2 weeks.
If we figure out what other model fits your steering shaft, I can send you another steering wheel to use in the mean time.

Pine sap must be a mess even with a car cover. Anybody make a throw away Tyvek or paper cover?

Pine trees are all along a slope lining the street in front of our house, so tree goop is a fact of life soon or later. Our car wash seems to handle it ok.

Speaking of which, gift cards from the local hand wash place might be good for the stocking stuffing. Deluxe card from the place down the street includes 2 full details, monthly waxing, and unlimited washes.

Thumbs up

bronto.. for just $150-250 you can get a used steer.wheel,
send it to Champagne for refurb and then swap 'new' for
old. No down time !

G'luck.

p.s. sounds like Paul's loaner is better deal.

The 928 lacks ground clearance and the front sway bar drop link often grinds along the wheel guide rail so most consider using a car wash to be "abuse" ....

No one has any info on the mysterious "mid rear" speakers Crutchfield says I have?

I couldn’t think of anything interesting to add here, but if by any chance I’m on your list… just make your checks payable to Paul Champaign!

I did talk my wife into a new tool chest and added a few miscellaneous tools to my list this year. Last year my sister in law managed to get me a sunshade from 928 Specialists.

Having the ability to share one’s desires (like amazon.com wish list) is a pretty cool feature that would be welcomed from any of the big 3 (4 or 5)…

Other potential easy/cheap items:
California Duster
California Squeegee
Jack Stands
Magnetic Grabber
Auto-recoil trouble light
Wash Mitts
Detail Kits

Wow, didn't know ground clearance is that low. I need to check with the guys down the street and see just how high the track is. (mentally counting the speed bumps to my house)

I've gone through 3 different autowashers since August, and I've not had any clearance problems. Maybe OB's don't have a problem? Autowashers aren't something I relish, but I used them with my BMW and knew the one's in questions were at least well maintained and clean.

Usually I take it to a gas station down the street who exchanged their mechanics for detailers. Do a $80 detail every three months and a $20 whenever it's dirty. I'd love a detailing kit, but it's not PC to wash your own car in drought sensitive Santa Barbara.

Most car washes are setup to recycle the water they use.

Whats popular here are the hand mitt scrub, track and chain rinse/wax/blow off, hand dry, and the real reason I don't like to do it myself the interior windows etc.
