Zims Autotechnik did my torque converter bearings. They are conveniently located (for me) and price competitive (usually) with other parts suppliers. They stock a good many 928 parts and can get just about anything else overnight. There's almost always a 928 in for servicing when I drop by - they seem to know the cars pretty well.

T_Max... Jones is about 1-2 mi east of the S.A. airport, fairly
convenient to the I35 & off Loop 410.

What you need is somewhere in the Houston area, eh ??

Thanks for mentioning Matt. He also is now maintaining James Morrison's race car. How do you know him?

I do my own work, but here is a thread with a couple of names.

Do you need anything in particular done?

I take mine to Rog100's house (Roger), but if he's full up then Zims as previously recommended. Actually Zims is VERY good and knowledgable of 928's.

When i lived in San Antonio, Jones rebuilt the weepy, seepy 2.7L in my '77 911S. They did a great job.

Then I moved to Austin and was turned on to Matt when he was an employee rather than owner of the shop. He did a good job on my 911 a couple of times and I bought my 928 out of the corner of his shop, though not from him.

He's a straight-shooter and a helpful educator. He runs a clean shop, can do it all and is not a wallet miner. I like him and I'm sorry he's not here in Zanesville. I have no reservations in recommending him.

Thanks for posting the proper name, address and phone. I wasn't close to my Austin phone book.

So James has moved away from the guys in Round Rock?

I guess so; After that he was working with MooreSpeed/MooreSports and then moved over to TPWS to have his work done. Don't know the back story, though. Sorrry.
